Somvad has been founded to provide the instant communications market with a current generation architecture and user interface that is both flexible and dynamic. It will enable organisations to build multi-media solutions that suits their own individual requirements without sacrificing the workflow traditions of legacy solutions. The core stack we have called HORIZONS, a back-end architecture that allows your corporate and mission critical requirements to co-opt into the desktop with multiple UI/GUI options. This fully featured despatch services platform can be located on-prem, in your data-centre or in a hyper-scaler. Full data sovereignty available with all communications messages, transcriptions and recordings securely held, abiding by your data/compliance policies and hence maintaining / leveraging all current compliance investments.

HORIZONS is simply a back-end platform that allows us to create an alternative to legacy telecoms platforms. We achieve this by combining highly scalable MCU technology (predominantly audio) with highly adaptable SFU technology (predominantly visual & messaging). In this way our central services can open up whole new UI experiences for the user and management alike. HORIZONS can offer multiple codec/routing options to ensure audio quality is never compromised.

Design is the key to all SOMVAD solutions. As HORIZONS will work on-prem, in a data centre or in a hyper-scaler each implementation can decide where and how much compute is required. If multiple speakers are considered essential to the application then a thick client as shown here will be required.

Variation and flexibility are rooted into SOMVADS DNA. The core software stack is 100% accessible via API's and remains extensible and contained but with a concept often described as healess architecture is means high levels of variety at the front end does not affect resilience and scalability at the back-end. In other words, HORIZONS allows SOMVAD'S developers or even customers themselves to develop features for their own particular requirements.
